Been months since my last update! Our schedule have been packed with visiting the bridal shop, the restaurant, schedule planning, helpers arrangement, band practices, and meeting friends and family... And in 10 more hours, we'll be having our 过大礼,a traditional Chinese betrothal ceremony. I'm excited and anxious at the same time. Can't believe that we have only a month more till our wedding!
Discovery, Inspirations, Thoughts.

Diary of a Bride-to-be | Photos Selection
Just done our photo selection for our pre-wedding photoshoot yesterday afternoon. Initially, we thought the photos would turn out bad as both of us are not exactly photogenic people. But out of expectation, we were pretty satisfied with 80% of all the shots taken on that day!
Took a looooonnnngggg time to shortlist 16 photos out of the pool, and handpicked 10 more softcopy photos. Then we had a nice dinner with our high school friends who are involved in our photoshoot to end the day.
Looking forward to the final look of the album! :)

Diary of a Bride-to-be | Pre-Wedding Photoshoot
Just done our pre-wedding photoshoot 2 days ago on 15th December. It was fun and tiring! Went back to our high school for the photoshoot and invited a few friends over to join in our photos. Really appreciate their time and effort in fulfilling one of our wedding wishes, which is to have a group photo with our friends in our pre-wedding album. Here's a sneak peek of our photoshoot that day!
Will be choosing our photos on the 27th December. Excited to see the outcome of the photos!

Diary of a Bride-to-be | A Relieve
A few weeks after we reserved our wedding dinner reception venue, we proceeded to visiting Very Taipei, the photography studio we engaged since April. We actually signed a photography package back in April in 1 Utama, without knowing any plans of when we are getting married yet! The package was really cheap compared to the prices in the market, and we signed the package after some sweet talk by the sales manager. At that time, I have no idea what other packages are offered by other bridal studios, and we just signed it. It was kind of a rash decision, and I don't even remember the details of the package after that. I got worried later on, as I thought we signed a package that only includes photography and nothing else. So we decided to pay a visit to the studio to enquire about the details of the package that we signed.
It turned out fine! And the person in charge was really friendly. Turns out that the package that we signed included a 1 day photography session, wedding gown, evening dress and coat rental for the actual day wedding, and also hand bouquet for the bride, corset for the groom and car decoration. That visit really did gave me a huge relieve as I was under the impression (blame my own poor memory) that those items other than the photography session was not included, and I became panicky about where to get all those items and even more panicky when I was budgeting for those. Thank God, now these items are included in the package, meaning we can allocate our money on other items like alcohol for the night and etc.
Our photography session has been booked today and will be set on 15th December, while the gown fitting will be on 29th November. Things seem to be moving on pretty smoothly! :)

Diary of a Bride-to-be | Date Set and Ready to Roll
Been a while since I have updated the blog!
So blood test results were out on 7th September and we went to collect our reports on the next day. Thank God, everything is fine! Now one task is checked off the checklist, we felt much relieved.
Went for another round of parents meetup on 16th Sep, and this time around we went to Serdang Hee Lai Ton because Kam Hin's mom is not satisfied with the food served in Sin Choi Wah. After we ate, we went up to their hall for viewing. We were amazed at their stage! There's actually proper PA systems setup at the stage and they also have a huge LED screen as their stage backdrop. Everyone was very satisfied with the food quality and the hall ambience, so we sat down with their manager and done our booking for our wedding night reception at 5th June 2016.
Now that the date is set, we can start executing our plans a lot faster! Looking at doing a 2-day wedding where Saturday would be the wedding ceremonies at home and at church, and Sunday would be our wedding night reception. We still have a lot more details to plan, but I believe everything will be fun and worthwhile at the end :)

Diary of a Bride-to-be | First Blood
This morning we went to Pathlab Kelana Jaya to take our blood test.
A lot of blood had been taken out, I think around the volume of a test tube!
Need to wait for a week to get the report. Sorry baby, I think I would keep annoy you with my anxiousness and worries till then! :3

Diary of a Bride-to-be | Entry #1
It's been almost 2 months since we are engaged, and now, we are finally getting serious in our wedding planning! Previously we didn't have much chance to do proper planning because I was in Jakarta for work for 2 weeks during early August, and after that we were busy preparing for our Animangaki band performance till last Sunday. Now after all these are done, we finally can settle down and get the ball rolling till we tie the knot!I've decided to start blogging on our planning process so that we would have some fun and sweet memories documented, and I believe that in the future when we look back at all these written memories, it will surely give us a warm and snugly feeling :3
So......What we have now is just a rough budget planning, a list of venues to hold our wedding banquet, and a gantt chart (yesh...gantt chart... :D) of the overall timeline for the tasks to be done till the wedding date. We decided to put our planning date to June 2016, but the exact date is unsure yet as we need to get confirmation for the venue and date of the wedding banquet first.
So far, we had chosen Sin Choi Wah Restaurant as our top choice to hold our wedding banquet, because it can hold more that 800 guests per hall and heard that the food there is nice. We might be having a parents-to-parents meeting this Sunday night to discuss on the wedding details as well as testing out their wedding menu, and if everything is good to go, we will make a booking for the venue that night itself.OMG I feel excited already even though the meeting is not confirmed yet...
Tomorrow, we'll be going to Pathlab, Damansara Utama, to do a pre-marital blood test. I never really thought of doing this so soon, because in our timeline, we actually put this at the near end. But after mom told me that it's better to do the test as soon as possible to discover if we have any health issues in the beginning of our planning, so that we won't get into any kind of conflict due to the health issues (if any).
Health issues that might deter child bearing she said... O_o!
I was getting really paranoiac about this, because I never really liked going to visit the doctors in the first place. I'm not afraid of the needles, but I just don't like to be told that I have unexpected health issues. Not that I have been diagnosed with any unexpected illness before, but I always have this paranoia of knowing my own health status.
Maybe it's just me watching too much dramas 8'D
Well, report will only be ready after 3 days, so I guess for the future 3-4 days, I need to either forget about it, or LIVE IN CONSTANT PARANOIA!! God, please help me calm down and stop me from thinking too much...
I'm still unsure what kind of theme that we want for our wedding. Been pinning ideas into our pinterest board, and so far what catches my eyes are red, white, gold and brown themes. Will keep on searching for inspirations first~
